NSW Country Judo Championships and South Coast Open

The 2013 NSW Country Championships and 2013 South Coast Open were on the weekend of the 26th and 27th October.
The Bushido Judo club, who hosted the 2013 Country Championships and the South Coast Open, need to be commended in their great professionalism as these are always a well run (and on run, i mean they run like clockwork, with no HICCUPS, the weigh ins are easy and are done, the draws are up, the tables are well maned, the officials are well seen - i could go on and on, but you get the gist of it all) they are great, and we as a club, are able to bring competitors to such a well done tournament and are always fun to attend.
The referees also have to be commended as they too had a great a day and scores, refereeing was all above board and it was great to see.
Well done to the Bushido South Coast Judo Club, it is always a pleasure to take our members and compete at your tournaments.

2013 Country Championships

On the Saturday was the 2013 Country Championships and it was a great tournament.
We only have 4 competitors, it was a huge weekend with weddings and other family gatherings this weekend.
Eva G, who came up against the boys and did a great job bringing home the Bronze Trophy and Amelie and Eva Mc were in the same division, Amelie came out on top with a Silver and Eva the Bronze.
Blake competed in 3 division, Gold in Cadets, Gold in Junior Men and Gold in Senior Men.

2013 South Coast Open

On the Sunday was the South Coast Open, and this had a great turnout, but again it only saw 4 of Yuukan members Paris, Logan, Jessica and Blake compete.
Jessica did fantastic on the mat and brought home the Gold medal, Paris was unfortunate to be in a "HUGE" pool of boys and came home without a medal (4th spot) but with a HUGE amount of experience and new lessons to come back to the club with. This was Logans first comp and he did so well, again this was a huge division split with 2 pools and he too came home with some great experience of what judo is and a 5th place.
Blake was again in the 3 divisions and again bought home 3 Gold medals, for cadets, young men and senior men). Sensei Chris was so proud of you all, Well done and Congratulations.
