Yuukan Judo Club

Judoka of the year is the Overall Yuukan Point Scorer for the Year.
Each time a member competes at a tournament or turns up for a training day they are automatically awarded 1 point.
(Then different points are added for Gold, Silver and Bronze)
These points are added up at the end of year and the member with the most Yuukan points is awarded the Judoka of the year and is given the trophy at presentation day.

How we work out the points:-
10 points for 1st (Gold)
8 points for 2nd (silver)
6 points for 3rd (Bronze)
4 points for competing and no medal
1 point for coming to a training day/in-house tournaments
1 point refereeing at tournaments.
1 point for coming to the tournaments as support and cheer squad (do not have to compete)
(points are awarded by divisions, eg if there is 2 in a division and you get silver medal you will only get 4 points as no fights were won).

If you are in two divisions and get for example a Gold and a Silver you are awarded 18 points.
The points start to add up really quickly and it is great to have an incentive and goal for the most points in a year.
