Hills Academy Tournament

What a great mornning spent in one of the coldest days in Canberra.
We all had our fingers and toes crossed to see if we would see snow, however we had to uncross them quickly and warm them up fast before frost bite set in.

We were welcomed by the members of Hills Academy and saw many friendly faces from ACT for what turned out to be a fantastic day for us all.

Eva had 3 fights and she was awaded the participation ribbon.
Amelie also had 3 fights and came up against some very strong competitiors and winning the silver medal.
Marko had a great day, he fought extremely well and won all his fights bringing home a nice shiny gold medal.
Nikolas also had some great fights and had a great day winning the bronze medal.
Lance only had one competitor in his division but used it as a warm up to the up coming tournament in Victoria, he won the gold medal.
Michael and Luke again were in each others divisons with Michael taking the first win, however with all 3 boys on equal points they had to fight it out again and after the second time Luke walked away with gold and Michael the silver.
Blake, too, used the Canberra as a training for the Victorian Open and although he practiced many techniques these also paid off on the day winning the Gold medal.

Congratulations to all the Yuukan members and well done. Thank you to the Hills and other ACT clubs we had a great fun day.
